for the past few weeks I have decided to try my luck at making Garry's mod videos. and as far as I know they look pretty good for having little experience in movie making to begin with. so far I have made 3 but 2 of them have comedy in them. if anyone has time come check them out on my YouTube channel.

I decided to use a little program called Garry's mod to create a two minute trailer for my dead space comic book. It was my first attempt to make a gmod video and it turned out pretty well. If anyone gets a chance, check it out on my youtube channel.

Its been awhile since I have given an update on Dead Space: precursor. As of right now the prologue to the comic is written and drawn. but unfortunately progress is slow... very slow...
very very SLOW! its not the writing (more or less) or the drawing, but I realized that I have to cut and edit a lot of the story out which was something I was hoping to avoid. it's not that we've bitten off more than we could chew, its just hard to jam THREE novels worth of story into one comic. I guess that just proves that I have too much of an imagination. but as of right now, the comic is stuck on chapter 1 until we can get the comic length sorted out. and unfortunately this means my art submissions are going to be very limited for awhile, but I will still post things from time to time.

   

yesterday I have uploaded a cover for a new comic book I'm planning on doing. this comic is actually being drawn by my sister and I created the story and characters. this journal entry will kind of give an introduction to the comic book so there might be a SPOILER or two if anyone is interested in reading it in the future when it is released. 

as most people know I have been a huge fan of dead space for a long time. not just its story and horror aspect but also the worlds and technology that the series has created as well. as much as I enjoy the adventures of Isaac Clarke, I have always been interested in its expanded universe, seeing other characters going through the same experience. this comic is not just an expanded universe story, but more of an alternate take of a story, like what was shown in the dlc dead space: severed. I came up with this story when dead space 2 came out but I never had a chance to do anything with it until now. the story takes place during the 1st and 2nd dead space starting on titan station a year before the events on AEGIS VII. the main character is Jasson Dallas (a lot of history with me and that name) who just moved to the sprawl with his family to get away from the constant feud over resources on earth. Jasson was a former E.D.F. soldier stationed on mars and has had experience in combat. but now he is condemned to a desk job spending the next 3 years doing the same routine day and night and slowly growing weary of how artificial it is living on the sprawl. he regrets never trying to expand his career. some of his former E.D.F. friends have joined the C.E.C on titan station. his uncle is an engineer currently serving on the Ishimura. Jasson's wife Elena is a teacher at Titan elementary school where their son Michael attends. he is also interested in technology of the past including weapons. he has a small collection including a spaz-12 shotgun (which will become his weapon of choice). it was given to him by his grandfather before he passed away. things on titan station seem normal for awhile until jasson finds out about the fate of the Ishimura and earthgov's plans to bring it to titan. thus starting a chain of events that will slowly tear at him until the end...

this is only 10% of the story right here. much of the plot goes into great detail and im not exactly sure if the plot might be too long. but this is a story that I have been adding on to for a long time and now I want to try to share it with the rest of the ds fans. and the current progress with the comic? we are currently working on concept art for the panels and adding finishing touches for the character art, cover art, and story. I will try to give an update once in awhile about the comics progress and even upload a few panels as previews. some people might not like the comic, some people might even hate the fact that I attempted to touch the ds story arc at all. but as a fan, all im just trying to do is show love for ds by adding a new story to the series.
